Kitty and lights

Early one morning we decided to venture out and get some things before school started.  We went to the outlet mall and attempted to find some shoes for her since she has out grown every pair from the year before as well as most of her summer shoes.  It turned out to be somewhat enjoyable.  We enjoyed being together and didn't leave feeling exhausted from getting on to each other...Go figure :)

 

If you have been around me you know I had shoes that light up.  I ended up giving in when we found the kitty shoes.  The only parts that light up are in the nose.  She wanted them so bad and I as well feel so in love with them I ended up purchasing our first pair of twinkle toy shoes.  These shoes have ended up being conversation starters where ever we have gown.  Grown men in elevators end up talking to her about her shoes.  Good thing she likes them.

Safari Park

The Safari Park is a local play place for the kids to play.  They have mini golf, tables to play at, painting, train rides, animal rides, and huge play scapes to climb around in.  Her favorite part was riding the elephant.  

New room

Here are a few pictures of K's new room.  Her room is not done and a head board foot board are in the works and will be posted once all is said and done.  Overall, she is so proud of her room.  She has been telling everyone about it and so far she seems to sleep pretty well in it.  My biggest fear is that she will fall out.  She is no longer super close to the ground as she used to be.  

When we walked in the next morning we found a visitor on her floor.  Looks like he found another spot to make a nest. 

Crafty Chick

Here are some pictures of all the crafts we have done lately.  Not wanting to spend much money I am trying to find ways to stay busy at home and so after a bunch of searching here are some of the final products.  My favorite is the first one.  It is a suncatcher with tissue paper and contact paper.  She enjoyed making it and it cost very little.

Teddy Bear Picnic

We were given the opportunity to attend the local heritage museum's first annual teddy bear picnic.  We brought her favorite bear, packed a picnic lunch, and went to enjoy our afternoon with friends hunting down bears.  While there we listened to a ten year old story teller, made a bear puppet, and went on a bear hunt through out the museum while learning about our cities heritage.  I enjoyed being able to learn about the town and Kaylie enjoyed hunting for bears.  Once we found all the bears we were given a goody basket with a bunch of activities and some local honey. 

FAC

With Eli and Nonna in town we decided to beat the 100+ heat by going to FAC.  They had so much fun and loved all of the water slides and lazy river.  We spent several hours there and were definitely worn out by the time we got home.  

Just because...

Ms. Kristin's wedding site was beautiful.  If it wasn't for the fact that it was 108 out we would have been outside a lot more letting Kaylie run off some energy but as it was the 15 minutes we were outside was enough and then it was time to go back in to the AC.

 

K's first wedding

Kaylie's first wedding was an absolute success. We were invited to Ms. Kristin's wedding and was incredibly excited to go.  She asked a lot of questions and enjoyed being there.  During the reception she enjoyed looking at the cakes and snacking on cheese.  All in all it was a great experience.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Reed.  We are so happy for you!

Eli and Kaylie

We love having Nonna and Eli visit.  They really love each other and want to do whatever the other on is doing.  Their relationship grows stronger and stronger every time they are with each other.
