Picking bears

We never know how she will do in large social settings.  We have figured out that when she is faced with a huge task of entertaining many (i.e. her birthday) it is a good idea to let her have the experience prior too.  Since we had gone to Claire's birthday in February we knew she enjoyed building bears so the only thing left was her mood.  Thankfully, she was excited and ready.  Everyone was really good about letting her "just be" and not putting any pressure on her.  This made for a successful birthday.  She interacted with her friends, did everything she was asked to do, and smiled a lot.  She loved having free reign when it came to dressing her bear and left with exactly what she wanted.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  Abigail was so sweet and loving.  She stayed by Kaylie's side the entire time.

She sat and listened so intently.  I loved seeing how good her attention span was.

What color bear do you want?  White or brown?

We let Kaylie pick what ever she wanted.  She ended up picking a blue bear to match her pink bear she has at home.  It is always funny to pick out what "you" think she would want and to see what she ends up getting.  Once she decides their is no changing her mind.  Most of the time this is a good thing...most of the time!

The party starts at the front of the store by all of the bears. Once everyone picks their bear they put them on their heads and walk back to the stuffing area. Pretty sure it helps them not touch everything they see along the way.
