Soccer prep

Jason had a random day off so we watched her swim and then took her to get her soccer stuff.  I wasn't sure how she would do with the shin guards but once on she didn't want them off.  We came home, pulled out the soccer goal she got from Christmas and started to practice.  I hope she likes playing with others like she does with us.

Christmas vs. the dogs

I thought this was hilarious.  I set all of our light up lawn things on our front door to put away and laughed when I saw the dogs looking out.  It was like they were doing a stare down.

Marshmallow snowmen

As a birthday surprise for Ms. Jen's 40th birthday Jason and I offered to watch their kids while Mr. Paul whisked her away to a well deserved surprise vacation.  At the last minute Jason ended up having to go on a work trip leaving me with four kids all to myself from Sunday until Tuesday.  The good thing was that these kids were awesome and completely respectful making my time alone with all of them much easier. I am glad we could do this for a great friend.  Happy birthday Ms. Jen.

Christmas lights

This year we decided to keep our Christmas light to a minimum while making it still look festive.  With Kaylie's help we wrapped the trees, outlined the walkway and put up several different light up lawn decorations.  She gave her friend, Mr. Polar bear a hug, and helped stake down our newest addition Santa to the ground.  We had originally planned to add a little more but realized we were happy with what we had done.  Made putting things up super easy.

She got the biggest kick out of running around and around while Jason wrapped the tree.  She laughed the entire way around.

We bought this last year but didn't put it up until now.

Welcome back Mr. Polar bear.  I missed you.

So random

It cracks me up to find the most random pictures on my phone.  Had no clue she had taken this one of herself.

Such a good momma

She is such a good momma to her babies.  She loves her brown dog.  He has his own bed that he has to be put in before she will go to sleep.  Makes my heart happy.

Cool pic

If you click on the picture you can get the full effect.  I love that you can see my reflection in the ornament.

DIY Ornaments

This year we decided to make a few ornaments to add to our tree.  Her favorite part was adding the glitter.  If I let her she would have filled the ornament to the top with it.

Tree time

As to be expected Kaylie's tree decorating experience was a lot more involved than previous years to the point of frustration on both her end as well as mine.  She wanted to help more than what was possible and it mad her angry.  She wanted to put the tree up but could only help with a few layers before it got too high for her.  When it was time for the lights I let my OCD go and thankfully she only felt the need to help with "a" strand before she decided she had helped enough.  When it came time for ornaments she rocked it.  She had a great time and loved her new Barbie rock star ornament.  She started air guitaring with it right after she opened it.

Jason told her to show me her angry/frustrated face.  Made me laugh.

Barbie rock star

We let her put the first ornament on the tree.  She loved this.  Something we want to do with her for years to come.

Barbie and the ballerina ornament were two of the ones I had bought when we put the tree up.  I ended up with a few more by the end of the season.

Boots

It might just be me but I am pretty sure momma's boots are just a tiny bit small for her.
