2 year pictures part 1

This year we decided to do Kaylie's 2 year pictures with a Tori with Recollection's photography. I met Tori my first year at Shawnee where we were both new teachers to the school. She is an amazing person so I was thrilled to know she was a photographer and that her pictures were amazing. We ended up going to Chestnut Square in McKinney. At first Kaylie was shy but after she pulled Mr. Bear out of the car to bring along I figured why not try and incorporate him into our picture taking. It proved to be a great choice.

Happy Birthday

1 of many...make sure to scroll down

It has been the week of birthdays. On the 27th Mr. Andrew celebrated his 1st birthday and on the 29th Mr. Fletcher celebrated his 2nd. It is crazy to see our kids grow. Happy birthday boys.

On Saturday Andrew had his birthday party. We had so much fun celebrating with everyone. Even though Kaylie spent a good amount of time attached to her daddy's leg or climbing up her mommy she still found some time to relax and enjoy playing with the others. Definitely makes form some good photo ops.

Thought her face was so sweet in this picture.

Bubbles make her happy!
She doesn't care about bubbles at home the way she does when we are around other children. Not sure why that is?!?

Every daddies dream picture!

Slam dunk! She loves these small basketball goals. She finds them every time someone has it. This one was the perfect height for her.

Beep, Beep...I am pretty sure the only reason she got in this car was to make Fletcher angry. He loved this car and she knew that. The minute he got out she swiped it. I think she has been watching too much Dora!

Evidence

Evidence as to why Bailey now likes Kaylie. She is part of the reason Bailey needs to lose weight.

Girly Girl

I was surprised that she actually put the necklaces on. She has come a long way! We are still working on the bracelets.

Kaylie and Bailey

Even before Kaylie was born we had a huge concern for how Bailey would do with a little one running around. Prior experiences had raised some concern and caused me to stress quit a bit about leaving her alone with our baby. With a lot of teaching the two of them have recently gotten to the point of playing together. This is the first real time that Kaylie has actually played with one of Bailey's toys and have Bailey play back. My guess is that Bailey has appreciated all the food Kaylie tries to feed her. Either way, it is nice to see them play together.

Haircut # 3

Kaylie has hair just like her momma...thick and grows like a weed. After my first adventure in cutting her hair and making her look like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber I have always shelled out the money to take her to get it done at Sweet and Sassy. The girl that does her hair is fantastic. She is incredibly kind and patient with the little ones. These pictures don't do her cut complete justice but you can get the idea.

In the second picture Big Bird is singing If you are happy and you know it.

Phone Call

When Jason is on his way home from work he calls to talk. Usually I give Kaylie the opportunity to talk to daddy but the minute she takes the phone she becomes shy and doesn't make a sound. On this particular day she had a lot to say and by the end she refused to get off. When Jason would ask her questions she would respond in an appropriate way. She talked about Shiner and Bailey as well as Dora and Swiper. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Unfortunately I am already regretting teaching her this. Phone conversations will never be the same again!

Gattitown

2 weeks ago we met up with several girls that I used to work with for a play date. Kaylie had a great time meeting new friends. I loved watching her interact with the older kids. She tries so hard to be just like them.

Her other friends were so good with Kaylie. At times they would be trying to play something and Kaylie would get in the way. They were very patient!

I love that I can get away cheap. She does not really understand the concept of needing money to play. I am ok with that!

Dance, Dance Revolution...she took me all the way to the other end of the place to get to this game. She did not want to get off of it. I figure she was attracted to the lights.
