10/10/10

10/10/10...Love that date. It just sounds so cool. For us it was our last full day in an absolutely gorgeous place I couldn't help but take a ton of pictures. As you can tell by my previous posts I had a hard time deciding which ones to put on so I just put them all on. Why not?!?

For us it was our last full day but for the Davis family they were having to head back early that morning. We were definitely sad to see them go. We all had a great time together and the kiddos really enjoyed being with each other.

After lunch and Lucas' nap we packed up and headed back to the park. We decided to try putting the kids on their very first paddle boat and thankfully both Kaylie and Fletch did really well. Kaylie insisted on paddling herself and surprisingly did a good job...with the help of one of us. The scenery was amazing and at one point we even had a turtle swim by us. Awesome. From there we decided to get some ice cream, ride the train one more time, and play at the park before going on one more hike and heading back to our cabin. It was so relaxing.

Once back the kids played before taking some time to sit back and relax in front of a movie. They had a blast but were exhaustingly done. It didn't take much to get them down that night. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful thunderstorm which stopped before we had to pack up the cars.

To finish up our trip we were blessed to be able to enjoy a Jolie's birthday breakfast of sausage, biscuits and gravy. I have never had biscuits and gravy before and now that I have I worry I will have it many more times. Yummy!!!

These fishing poles were the best $20 we have ever spent. Even though they never fished with them they easily spent a few hours playing with them.

Tony and Emma brought Golf Toss for us to play. This was the coolest game to play with a group of people. When you first see it you think it is going to be impossible. Once you get the hang of throwing it the game becomes quit fun.

Front porch. The back porch was even bigger than this. Much longer back porch made it great for the kids to be able to run around and play.

They were "reading" to each other.

K was so excited to ride in the paddle boats. I was concerned she would freak out once she got in but thankfully she did great. The paddling itself was incredibly relaxing. We were able to sit back and enjoy the scenery. The water was clear and clean. We even had a visit from our friend Mr. Turtle.

I was so impressed with how well both Kaylie and Fletch did on the boats. Since Jason and I were both on the boat the one who was holding Kaylie got to sit back and relax while the other one got the workout. I ended up with more of a workout than Jason. Even though she insisted on "helping" I still did the majority of the work. Thankfully, Kaylie let me hold her for a few minutes here and there otherwise, we may have stopped sooner than we did.
Once she was tired of paddling she asked to steer. I can not tell you how many circles she had us do.

Once we finished with the boats we decided to take a break to cool off with some ice cream and another train ride. The two enjoyed this trip even more than the first. On the first trip we saw a bunch of deer. This time around we were visited by a bunch of armadillos.

She had such a good time. She laughed and smiled the entire time. What else could you ask for?!?

Every time she goes to the slide she hangs on the bar before sliding down. She decided Kitty needed to do the same and left him here to hang as she went down. She came back to rescue him after she was done.

Her one souvenir from the trip. She kept it in her pocket the rest of the trip. Worth the 51 cents we paid for it.

I swear we are not pressuring them to get married in the future. We had nothing to do with them holding hands. If it makes you feel better Fletch pushed her away right after I took the picture.
