Mother's Day

I got to enjoy Mother's Day with several of my favorite people.  The way a Mother's Day should be!

Mother's Day tea

Mother's Day tea at Kaylie's school meant so much to me.  They did such a great job showering us with love.  We had snacks, gifts, and a performace all in honor of our special day.  I love how good they made us feel.

She is holding the gift they gave us.  It is a bottle of soap with her picture in it.  They set it up to make it look like they are holding their breath will doing a handstand.  Quit impressed with the creativity of the teachers.  Pinterest at its best.

She had a line in the performance and said it perfectly..."and holding my hand so tightly."

Splash park

First time at the splash park for the summer.  We had never been to this one before and it will be one we visit from now on.  The best part was the tables, chairs, and restaurants that were around for the parents to be able to sit and relax under while the kids run around getting out their energy.

Fresh Beat Band

As a surprise for Kaylie's 5th birthday we took her to her favorite group, The Fresh Beat Band.  In the car we gave her her first clue which was their CD.  It wasn't until she was inside the building that we told her.  She was beyond excited.  It made it even more special when Garrett showed up to see it with us.  Through out the entire concert she sang and danced.  When it was over she didn't want to go.  Too me it was a successful surprise and not only created a memory for her but for her mommy and daddy as well.

Science Museum

It always amazes me when I can see how much she has grown from one year to the next.  Last year we went to the Science museum for a party and she wanted nothing to do with it.  This year I couldn't get her to leave.  Made my heart happy to see how much fun she had.

Last soccer game of the season.

IHOP

Breakfast with Grandpa Bill after her last soccer game of the season.  I love this picture of the two of them.

Soccer Celebration

Being her first try at soccer was definitely an interesting experience.  It was a lot of fun but a challenge at the same time.  Overall, we are incredibly glad we did it and will stick with it a little bit longer to see if it becomes something she really wants to do.  As you can see y the smile on her face she was super proud of her trophy.

4 wheeling

As long as she remembers to look ahead and not back she can actually drive pretty well.  Hopefully, this will be a sign of her driving abilities when she is a teenager.

New outfit

When Kaylie was in the NICU I had several people suggest I put her in Build A Bear clothes because they were just the right size for a tiny preemie.  At the time I refused and said I would never put her in a bear outfit.  I never took into consideration the fact she would turn around one day and put it on herself.  Kind of ironic!
