For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Our next stop was in Leander where we visited Nonna, Uncle Michael, Uncle Ryan, and her cousin Elias. Kaylie and Elias are so good together. They played so well and did not want to have to say good bye to each other. I have loved seeing how their relationship has grown as the grow in age. I truly believe they would do anything for each other.
Cheeto grin...adorably gross!!!
Brothers...never realized how much they looked alike until I took this picture.
Elias was so excited to see her he couldn't help but hug her.
It is funny how alike they look.
She was really excited about getting some M&M's.
She thought her dress was a Halloween costume. We have been working hard to help her understand that Halloween is over. With Christmas quickly approaching we are not winning this battle.
I was very emotional this Thanksgiving for two reasons. Two years ago Kaylie was in the hospital for a month for feeding. She was allowed to come home for a few hours to celebrate with us. It was one of the most stressful times in our lives. She was malnourished and sick. Now she is incredibly healthy and happy.
The second part to this sentimental day was this picture. This marked the first time she has had a "real" Thanksgiving dinner turkey and all. She tried everything we put in front of her. We were so proud. What a great thing to be thankful for!!!
Our first stop on our Thanksgiving adventure was Austin where we got to spend time with Grandma Chris, Great Grandma Jo, and Papa. We had so much fun. Every time we go Kaylie has changed drastically. This trip she was incredibly talkative and not her normal shy self.
This giraffe was given to Jason when he was little. Kaylie loved it. She was rocking so hard we were wondering if she was going to rock all the way over it.
Another one of Kaylie's favorite things to do is play in the great grandparents' backyard. She and Grandma Chris' dog G ran all over the place. Kaylie loved playing with G. I think G enjoyed playing with her but really enjoyed playing with her toys. He has never had so many stuffed animals and dolls around like he did that weekend.
If you look closely you can see G licking her doll. The things you catch when you take as many pictures as I do.
